Emerald Cruising m2s

By Cruising x Clover Hill x Bliss xx.
Bay.
Born 1995.
Registered by the Irish Sport Horse Studbook.

Emerald Cruising m2s competed as a 5-year-old and won four classes (including a 1.20 metre) and had only one fence down in 5 shows; she was retired from sport because of the foot & mouth disease outbreak in the UK that shut down all competitions in the UK and Ireland for much of the spring and summer of 2001. In 2003 she had a colt foal by Ekstein, named Walt Frazier m2s, that was sold at the SCOPE elite auction to a client in the USA. In 2004 Emerald Cruising had another colt foal by Ekstein, named Zen m2s, that was sold to an eventing rider in England but was euthanised as a 4-year-old due to a pasture accident. In 2005 she produced a colt by Ulysses m2s, named Airborne m2s, that was sold as a 2-year-old to an Irish rider. In 2006 she had a filly by Ekstein, named Band of Gold m2s, that was sold to a US client who will use her in both sport and breeding. In 2007 Emerald Cruising produced a bay colt foal by Condios, unnamed, that was sold to Irish international rider Greg Broderick. In 2008 she produced a bay filly by Ekstein, named Dutch Gold m2s, that we have retained; she is Ekstein's last daughter. In 2009 Emerald Cruising m2s produced a bay filly by Wang Chung m2s, named Asian Gold m2s, that was sold as a foal and exported to Germany. In 2010 she produced Bolo Yeung m2s, a full-brother to Asian Gold m2s.

Sire: Cruising was a world-class international showjumper that won numerous Nations Cups under Trevor Coyle and capped his career with a victory at the greatest Grand Prix of all, Aachen. Cruising is also a world-class sire, being ranked by the WBFSH as the world's 45th best sire in 2000. Among his international progeny are two mares that were consistent performers on Ireland's Nation Cup team: Rincoola Abu and Cruiseway.

Dam: Hill Walker is a full-sister to the international showjumper Hilton Clover (by Clover Hill), ridden by Clement McMahon; a half-sister to the international showjumper Mr. Cawley (by Furisto), ridden for Great Britain by Robert Maguire; and a half-sister to the Grade B showjumper Roadstone Diamond (by King of Diamonds). Hilton Clover's international successes include 1st place in the Speed Class at the CSIO-Dublin, 1st and 2nd in CSI classes at Millstreet, and 2nd in the CSI-A Millstreet Grand Prix. Mr. Cawley's achievements include winning the six-bar class at the Nantes CSI3* show, 2nd in the Palm Beach CSIO4* Nations Cup, 3rd in the Lisbon CSIO4*, and 4th in the Vicenza CSI4* Grand Prix. Dam-sire Clover Hill is ranked as the world's 15th best sire over the last decade.

Plans for 2010: Emerald Cruising m2s produced a colt by Wang Chung m2s on 27 May 2010, named Bolo Yeung m2s, a full-brother to the 2009 filly Asian Gold m2s. Emerald Cruising m2s is back in foal to Wang Chung m2s and the expected foaling date is 2 June 2011.
